The VB-MAPP is a criterion-referenced assessment tool, and curriculum guide, that is designed for children with autism, and other individuals who demonstrate language delays. The VB-MAPP is based on B.F. Skinner’s (1957) Analysis of Verbal Behavior, established developmental milestones, and research from the field of behavior analysis.
The VB-MAPP App is a comprehensive assessment tool that can be accessed and completed on a mobile phone, tablet, or a desktop computer. User-friendly interface and controls that are optimized for use on all devices.
Essential for Living App (EFL App) is the electronic version of the function-based assessment and curricula written by Dr. Patrick McGreevy and Troy Fry. EFL is a comprehensive life skills curriculum with social validity, along with evidence-based teaching and measurement strategies and procedures, that results in the dignity and quality of life these children and adults deserve.
EFL stresses the importance of communication for all learners and provides an objective system for all learners to help caregivers decide on a possible effective method of speaking.
EFL tracks small increments of progress so that learners get documented learning when skill acquisition takes a little extra time.
Our VB-MAPP App can be accessed from any device with an internet connection which means users can access and use the VB-MAPP App on iPhone, Ipad, Macbooks, Chromebooks, Android phones, Android Tablets, Microsoft Surface and more. Not just in English because voices in Spanish, French, Portuguese are also important. More languages coming! Our EFL App can be accessed from any device with an internet connection. Currently the electronic EFL App is only available in English, but the paper version is now available in Spanish.
Our apps offer interactive and multimedia elements that are not available in the print version. Hundreds of videos showing recommendations for assessing, programming and teaching after the VB-MAPP assessment is complete. Video examples for conducting the VB-MAPP assessment.
